Since Whit Perry was a child he has been trying to stop time through the magic of  photography, in tune with the old Inuit song that says, “... there is only one great thing, the only thing, to live to see the great day that dawns, and the light that fills the world.”

“I’m very eclectic in subject choice,” he says, “but my greatest passion is capturing the natural world, particularly wildlife, trying to catch those ephemeral moments that will never happen again.”

Whit has won many awards and has had photographs published in various newspapers and magazines, including TIME. He is active in Photopia, a Columbus-based photography club, and serves as coordinator of the west-central Georgia chapter of the Georgia Nature Photographers Association, which meets monthly in Hamilton.

A singer/songwriter, he also serves as house photographer for Pure Life Studios, a LaGrange music listening room, photographing performers.
