My name is Ruth McMullen, I’m 73 and have lived in LaGrange going on 3 years. As an artist I tend to see things very simply and try to look within my paintings into secret places to find the unsuspecting. My most favorite things are landscapes that I can transform into either an oasis to relieve stress or a grassy knoll to dream. I never paint the same painting more than once and try to give each painting a feeling or sense of its own. I just paint for the shear pleasure and joy to make me smile.
