Donna Cabral
A self-taught artist with a broad range of talents and curiositite, it is impossible to choose one medium to describe her art as Donna loves experimenting with different styles, techniques, and materials.
Gifted in several mediums, clay, papier-mache, and fabric are her current favorite choices as she forms creatures that almost seem animated. Each creation takes on a soul of its own, speaking to and delighting not only her but, hopefully, the viewer as well.
Equally facinated and inspired by the free flow of watercolor and alcohol inks, as well as oils and acrylics, she has painted many pieces that are on display at different studios around the area.
If asked to describe herself she would say, “I am an experimental artist. I understand my art through the process of cuiosity. I am surprised and delighted by randomness and happy chnace and delighted by what emerges and flows as it takes on a life of its own. I am not a perfectionist! I am perfectly imperfect! My biggest challenge is focusing as every shiney thing catches my eye and inspires me to want to explore the possibilities.”
“I believe serendipity, (making desirable discoveries by accident), a regular occurrence in my art, is what motivates me and intills that little bit of delight that enlivens the most mundane.”
